Rajinikanth Meets Kamal Haasan, Invites Him to Daughter’s Wedding

Veteran actor Rajinikanth met with actor and founder of Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) Kamal Haasan in Chennai on Thursday, 7 February, to invite him to his daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth's wedding, that is expected to take place on 11 February.
The 34-year-old had earlier confirmed her wedding to businessman and actor Vishagan Vanangamudi on Twitter.
Two of the greatest stars in the South Indian film industry, Rajinikanth and Kamal have been vague in their response to being asked on the likelihood of the two allying for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
In January, when Rajinikanth, who made his political entry in December 2018, was asked about exactly this – he had replied by saying, “only time will tell.”
When Rajinikanth met Kamal on Thursday, other MNM members, Vice President Dr R Mahendran and State Executive Committee member Kameela Nasser, were also present.
Other than Kamal, Rajinikanth has also visited several other politicians and actors, to invite them personally for his daughter’s wedding.
The 2.0 star reportedly visited DMK President MK Stalin, Tamil Nadu Congress Chief Thirunavukkarasar, as well as President of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi Thol Thirumavalavan, and asked them to attend the celebrations.
The family is keeping this a low-key affair but a lot of big names are expected to attend the wedding.
