Ahead of ‘Dostana 2’ in Chandigarh, KJo Blesses Kartik Aaryan
Kartik calls it “dharma rivaaz”
The shoot for Dostana 2 is all set to begin and Kartik Aaryan is already on his way to Chandigarh to shoot for the same. But before he left, the Pati Patni Aur Woh actor made sure to seek the blessing of the one and only Karan Johar. Kartik took to social media to share a photo of him and KJo in which Kartik is touching Karan’s feet and the latter is blessing him. Kartik is dressed in a red sweatshirt with denims and Karan is making his own style statement with a funky t-shirt.
In the caption, Kartik has called this a “Dharma traditio”, “Maa da laadla #Chandigarh nikal gaya #Dostana2 !! (Mother’s son has left for Chandiarh) The Dharma rivaaz (tradition) that all actors need to follow before starting a Dharma film @karanjohar ”

In September, the film’s lead Kartik Aaryan had shared a photo of himself posing with the script with a caption that read, “Dostana 2 ka prep shuru (Prep for Dostana 2 is under way).”
Dostana 2 is a sequel to 2008’s Dostana, which starred John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra. The Tarun Mansukhani directorial was about two men who pretend to be a gay couple in order to rent an apartment. Trouble ensues when they both fall for the same girl.
On 7 November, Janhvi Kapoor took to Instagram to share a few snapshots from Punjab where she is shooting on location for Dostana 2. The actor posted a picture of herself posing with the Golden Temple of Amritsar in the background along with a few other photos of the holy shrine.
After much speculation, Karan Johar confirmed the sequel and that Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor would be starring in it in July. The film also stars newcomer Lakshya.
