Coolie No.1: Varun Shares the First Look Posters on Sara’s B’Day
Coolie No.1’s shoot is underway in Bangkok.
One of the most awaited films of the year, Coolie No. 1, finally gave us a glimpse of the fresh pairing of Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan. The actors shared still and motion posters and the film looks like a fun-ride for cinema goers. The shooting for the film had started last week in Bangkok.
On 11 August, Varun released a motion poster with the hashtag #guesswhoiscoming.
On Sara’s birthday, the actors released another motion poster and a still. “COOLIE NO.1. May1st 2020. Haat jao baju aya Raju” wrote Varun with the motion poster showing him in a coolie’s avatar.
The two also shared a still of the both of them, showing their quirky and fun chemistry. “Heroine tera birthday aaya, birthday ke din main tere liye poster laya! Happy 22nd bday,” wrote Varun on Sara’s birthday.
Even Sara shared the same with some fun shayari as the caption. She wrote, “Happy Birthday to me. Ji haan aaj hamara birthday aaya. Ji haan maine apna poster laya. Birthday ke din apna vada nibhaya. Inshallah sabke dil ko yeh bhaya. #sarakishayari will always be best‼️”
The original film, which starred Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in the lead, was directed by Varun's father and filmmaker David Dhawan, who’ll be directing this one too. It will be the director’s 45th film, as per the poster.
The Coolie No 1 remake will be the third collaboration between the father-son duo. They have earlier worked together in Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2, both of which were commercially successful ventures.
