The trailer for the Aamir Khan-starrer Sitaare Zameen Par, a spiritual sequel to the 2007 release Taare Zameen Par, dropped on Tuesday. Gulshan (Khan) is a talented coach but a reckless, temperamental man, which inevitably gets him in trouble with the law.

Watch the trailer here:

As part of his sentence, the court orders him to 'coach a team of basketball players with intellectual disabilities' for a championship but he is reluctant to do so, refusing to admit to their potential. If his Taare Zameen Par character was known for his empathy and devotion towards his students, Gulshan is the complete opposite – insensitive bordering on apathetic.

Over the course of the trailer, the coach seems to go through a change of heart, helped along by the people in his life and the very students he’s put in charge of.

Sitaare Zameen Par, is directed by RS Prasanna and produced under the Aamir Khan Productions banner. Besides Khan, the movie stars Genelia Deshmukh, Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharmaa, Naman Misra, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Ashish Pendse, Samvit Desai, Simran Mangeshkar, Aayush Bhansali, Dolly Ahluwalia, Gurpal Singh, and Brijendra Kala.

It’s slated for release on 20 June.
