The highly anticipated trailer for The Royals dropped on 22 April. Starring Bhumi Pednekar and Ishaan Khatter in the lead, the trailer looks into the lives of a royal family struggling to hold onto the grandeur of the past and their Moti Bagh. Enter Pednekar as Sophia Shekhar, an entrepreneur with a vision to turn Moti Bagh into a Royal bed and breakfast, all while the new prince Aviraaj Singh (Khatter) tries to sort out his family’s financial woes.
Things get complicated when Sophia and Aviraaj embark on an enemies-to-lovers journey of their own while dealing with the difference in their lived realities and the inevitable complications that will arise with Aviraaj’s impending coronation.

With a star-studded ensemble cast consisting of Zeenat Aman, Sakshi Tanwar, Milind Soman, Dino Morea, and Nora Fatehi among others, The Royals promises a royal Bollywood romcom. It’s directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana and written by Neha Veena Sharma.
The Royals is scheduled to release on Netflix on 9 May.
