‘Kabir Singh’ Crosses Rs 200 Crore Mark at the Box Office

Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani-starrer Kabir Singh has gone down remarkably well with the audience. It crossed Rs 200 crore at the box office and emerged as one of the highest-grossing films of 2019. Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to announce the news. He also wrote that it is the first ‘A’ certified Hindi film to cross the Rs 200 crore mark.

The film has earned Rs 190.64 crores at the box office since releasing on 21 June. He even went to the extent of saying that it’s difficult to estimate the total business of the film.

In the film’s second weekend, the trade analyst also noted that the film is going steady at the box office and earned Rs 12.21 crores on its second Friday.

These figures were much higher as compared to the second Friday box office collections of other popular 2019 releases such as Uri (Rs 7.66 crore), Kesari (Rs 4.45 crore) and Bharat (Rs 4.30 crore), observed Adarsh.

Kabir Singh is directed by Sandeep Vanga who also directed the original. Kabir Singhstars Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani. Kabir Singh is the story of a medical student who falls in love with a fellow student, played by Kiara Advani. When the latter leaves Kabir, the protagonist begins spiraling into a self-destructive void. The film released in theatres on 21 June.
