Is Salman No Longer Promoting ‘Dabangg 3’? Chulbul Pandey Answers
The film releases on 20 December.
As the countdown to the premiere of Dabangg 3 continues, the makers have released another teaser hinting that Salman Khan will not be part of the film’s promotions. Instead, his character Chulbul Pandey will take centrestage. The short clip features Salman in his police officer avatar as a voiceover says, “When the whole of India is emotionally invested in Chulbul Pandey, why would Salman Khan promote the film? I’m in the film, I’m on its posters, so shouldn’t I be the one to promote it?”

Directed by Prabhudeva and produced by Salman Khan Films and Arbaaz Khan Productions, Dabangg 3 is the third instalment in the action franchise. The film will see Sonakshi Sinha return as Chulbul Pandey’s wife Rajjo and feature the debut of Mahesh Manjrekar’s daughter Saiee Manjrekar. Pramod Khanna will take over from the late Vinod Khanna as Chulbul’s father, and Kannada actor Kichcha Sudeep will make an appearance in the climax of the film.
Dabangg 3 will reportedly focus on Chulbul Pandey’s past and a major part of the film will flashback to his younger days. The story will recounts how a neighbourhood lout ends up becoming a policeman with a heart of gold. The film releases on 20 December.
