1. ‘Judwaa 2’ Trailer: Double the Fun Or Double the Pain?
It’s becoming more and more cumbersome to watch trailers every time the word ‘remake’ is used. One example of this is the Judwaa 2 trailer starring Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu. Judwaa 2 is a remake of the Judwaa, which was a remake of a Telugu film - Hello Brother - which itself was apparently a remake of Jackie Chan’s Twin Dragons.
2. Salman Khan to Do a Dharma Film With KJo Thanks to Nepotism
The entire Bollywood frat knows how eager Karan Johar is to get Salman Khan to do a film for him.
Bizarrely, nothing between Karan and Salman seems to work out. They were supposed to collaborate on a big-budget period film Shuddhi to be directed by Karan Malhotra. Salman reportedly kept Karan hanging on for nearly a year before saying no.
3. Rajinikanth Will Soon Sit in the CM’s Seat, Promises His Friend
Sunday evening witnessed an electrifying atmosphere with thousands of fans rooting for the entry of superstar Rajinikanth into politics. Many expected that the public meeting called by Rajinikanth’s close aide and politician Tamilaruvi Manian of the Gandhiya Makkal Iyakkam would answer the big question- "When will Rajinikanth enter politics?”
4. Kishore Kumar to SRK, Bollywood Loved Jerry Lewis
Way before India went cartwheels over the Hollywood blockbusters – Spider-Man, The Avengers, the Fast and Furiousseries and of course, the Star Warstechno-dazzlers – there were the Jerry Lewis comedies which infallibly assured lengthy stays and ‘house full’ singboards at the cinemas of Mumbai and other metros.
The ticket sale revenues didn’t mean much to the Hollywood studio honchos back in the 1950s and ‘60s. The accruing profits could not be transferred to the US They had to be deposited and used within India by the offices of the MGM, Paramount, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros and other majors.
5. Trolls’ Day Out: Kalki Koechlin Slut-Shamed for Nude Image
Another day and another actress slut-shamed for posting a picture of herself on social media. This time, it’s Kalki Koechlin. The actor was trolled for posting a nude image of herself with the hashtag #loveyournakedness.
