‘Arjun Reddy’ Actor Signed Opposite Ranveer in Jayeshbhai Jordaar
Shalini Pandey will be starring opposite Ranveer in the film.
Yash Raj Films has finalised the female lead for their next film starring Ranveer Singh, Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Shalini Pandey, who made her debut with Telugu film Arjun Reddy will be starring opposite Ranveer. YRF announced the same on Twitter and wrote, “#ShaliniPandey is @RanveerOfficial’s heroine in YRF’s #JayeshbhaiJordaar!”
Shalini started her career as a theatre actor in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh before moving on to the Telugu industry. Starring in multiple Tamil and Telugu films thereafter, she also played a supporting role in the 2018 Hindi film Meri Nimmo.
“Being given the opportunity to be signed on as a talent and also being cast under the Yash Raj Films banner is truly any artist’s dream. I’m also very fortunate to be sharing screen space with Ranveer Singh who is one of the biggest superstars of our generation and also one of the most versatile actors too,” she said, about the film.
Maneesh Sharma, producer of Jayeshbhai Jordaar, added, “Shalini’s audition was so spontaneous and nuanced that we knew immediately that she was the right person for the part. She’s really going to catch your attention in Jayeshbhai Jordaar!”
Directed by debutant Divyang Thakkar, the film’s first look was unveiled recently and Ranveer looks every bit convincing as a Gujarati boy. The photo shows Ranveer in a fix, as he apparently tries to shield some women from a threatening situation.
