Elections for the 200-member Rajasthan Assembly are scheduled to held on Friday, November 7. Polls in the important state are largely being seen as a bipolar contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress.

The campaigning in the high-stakes elections ended in Rajasthan on Wednesday, 5 December, with Minister Narendra Modi and Congress President Rahul Gandhi making a concerted attempt on the last day to win the contest for their parties.
