1. Those Making ‘Sarab’ Jibes Are Drunk on Power: Akhilesh in Deoband
BSP supremo Mayawati on Sunday, 7 April, slammed both the BJP and the Congress at the first joint rally with the SP and the RLD in Deoband, less than a week before voting in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections.
"BJP will lose this election because of policies inspired by hatred.. especially their ‘chowkidar’ campaign... no matter how much the chhote, bade chowkidars try, the BJP will not win," she said.
Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and Rashtriya Lok Dal president Ajit Singh were also in attendance.

2. No Cong-AAP Tie-up in Haryana & Punjab, Decision on Delhi Soon
Congress President Randeep Surjewala on Sunday, 7 April, said that there will be no Congress-Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) alliance in Punjab and Haryana, and that they would announce the “situation” in Delhi over the next two days.
Earlier this week, reports suggested that the two parties have sealed an alliance, not just in Delhi but also in Haryana.
The AAP has reportedly been asking for the alliance to extend to Haryana and Punjab.

3. Congress Launches Poll Campaign With Song & Slogan ‘Ab Hoga NYAY’
The Congress party on Sunday, 7 April, launched their campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, unveiling their campaign song as well as their slogan, ‘Ab Hoga NYAY’. The campaign song and video highlights, among other things, the party’s proposed minimum income guarantee scheme, titled ‘NYAY’.

Some of Zee Entertainment’s popular television shows are now blatantly pushing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s image and the schemes that have been announced under the BJP government.
With the General Elections just days away, the ruling party seems to be leaving no platform bereft of their covert or outright promotional activity on behalf of the prime minister.
