Bentley is known worldwide for creating some of the most luxurious and top-performing cars on the planet.
These cars have always been sedans and GT models, but now they have come out with an SUV called the Bentayga, at Rs 3.85 Crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The car was first unveiled as a concept named EXP 9 F during the 2012 Geneva Motor Show and the production ready model was unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
Bookings have been open for the Bentayga in India for the past 6 months and according to the British automaker, there has been a lot of excitement regarding this model in the country.
They did not give a number as to how many of these have already been booked.
Manufactured in Crewe, the Bentayga will come to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and will take around 5 months since the date of booking to be delivered.
The deliveries of already-booked models in India begin within two weeks. The car is powered by a newly developed W12 engine that produces 600 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque, and comes connected to an 8-speed transmission and permanent All-Wheel Drive (AWD).
This mammoth power means that the car can go from 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 301 km/h. But that’s not all – the Bentayga comes loaded with technology too.
