To connect the Evo Gamepad Pro to your smartphone, you need bluetooth and the Evo Gamepad app. The app is like a tutorial and gives you suggestions of over 300 games that are compatible with the Evo Gamepad Pro.
The 400 mAh rechargeable Li-Polymer battery on the Evo Gamepad Pro is good enough and lasts for about 4 hours of gaming. Games like Need for Speed, FIFA 15 and Asphalt 8 were a treat to play on the controller.
Even low user engagement games like Auralux and Granny Smith were fun to play on the controller.
Evo Gamepad Pro supports games from genres like RPG, racing, FPS or arcade, and a wide host of games that are available on the Google Play Store.
If you’re feeling like nostalgic, games like Contra or Mario are also easy to play on the Evo Gamepad Pro.
What’s Bad?
There are small niggling issues with the Evo Gamepad Pro like if you try and fit a smartphone that is slightly bigger than 5 inches, it makes the controller go off balance.
Tablet compatibility is good but the tablet stand that Amkette bundles with the Evo Gamepad Pro is not sturdy enough.
Yes there are over 300 games to choose from, but in many games you still have to touch the display to enable a few functions. That was a little off putting.
