1. Now Available - Audi A6 Matrix Sedan for a Cool 49.50 Lakh

Audi has introduced the new Audi A6 Matrix to India – a comprehensively updated version of the A6 executive sedan.

The A6 Matrix comes with a new engine, a new seven-speed S tronic transmission, Matrix LED headlights and an advanced infotainment system – at a price of Rs 49,50,000 (ex-showroom New Delhi and Mumbai).

This is the sixth launch for Audi this year after the launch of the Audi R8 LMX, Audi RS 7 Sportback, Audi TT Coupé, Audi RS 6 Avant and the Audi Q3.

2. Unveiled - The All-new Lamborghini

Lamborghini’s latest SV creation, the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster, made its global debut at the Monterey Car week in California. Only 500 such convertibles will be made available.

It’s the latest Lamborghini to bear the name Superveloce. The SV models, are the most performance-oriented and fastest versions of standard Lamborghinis.

The Aventador SV Roadster churns out 750bhp of power and is 50kg lighter compared to the Aventador Roadster. The Superveloce Roadster’s highlight is a powered rear window that allows the 6.5-litre V12 engine to fill the cabin with its roar.

The limited edition Lamborghini has 690Nm of torque and can do 0- 100km/h dash in just 2.9 seconds. The exotic has a top speed that’s rated over 350km/h.

With a production run of just 500 units, Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster will have its first delivery in early 2016.

3. Now, a Knee Airbag in the 2015 Ford Mustang

Airbags save a lot of lives. In India, most new generation vehicles come fitted with dual airbags or curtain airbags.

But Ford has taken safety a step further. In most head-on collisions, the driver’s or the co-passengers’ vital organs are protected by an airbag deployment, but many are left with broken lower limbs – unless the car is fitted with a knee airbag.

4. Revealed - Apple is Building a Self-driving Car

Documents obtained by The Guardian reveal Apple Inc is building a self-driving car in Silicon Valley.

The report says that Apple is currently scouting locations in San Francisco Bay to test out its self-drive car, code-named Project Titan.

This is the first time that documents as evidence have been obtained that confirm Apple’s car project.

Apart from the documents, Apple has hinted that it is leaning towards breaking into the automobile industry.

Apple has not yet confirmed or denied Project Titan or their self-driving car, but one company that will be closely watching this project is Google.

5. Opera launches ‘Web on Wheels’ Wi-Fi-enabled car

Opera Software has launched Web on Wheels (WOW) this week, featuring a specially-equipped WOW car that provides free Wi-Fi access to those in range. Opera hopes to encourage new users to get online and experience the internet from their mobile phones.

Over the next 10 months, the WOW car will travel across India, covering 20 cities. Agra, the city of Taj Mahal was its first stop. The car was stationed at multiple locations, such as Raja Mundi, Paliwal Park, Sadar Bazar, St. John’s College, among other notable locations throughout the city.

The WOW car will hit the road in phases, first covering the northern belt of India. After Agra, the WOW car will travel around Lucknow. Its next stops are Kanpur, Varanasi and Allahabad.
