The first day of admissions at Delhi University was chaotic and confusing to say the least. From The Quint’s experience on the ground, students and parents alike were not up to speed with the new online procedure.

The varsity was in no position to handle the pressure of so many perplexed students arriving for admissions.

It turned out that undergraduate applicants weren’t aware that they were supposed to ‘block their seats’ before coming in to take admissions.

While admissions started at 9 am, and ended promptly 1 pm, DU servers were down all day. Many who had been waiting in line since morning, went back home empty-handed.

If you were unsuccessful in securing your college seat on the first day, or if you are going to the campus for the first time on Friday, you need to read on.

The Quint has some advice.

  • At the time of the online registration, you will have used a unique email id and password.
  • Log on to the Delhi University portal using that ID.
  • Select the colleges you have registered for, and for which you have cleared the cut-off.
  • Upon doing so, a form will appear.
