R-Day Parade: Daredevils, French Army and Dog Squad Adorn Rajpath

The Republic of India celebrates 66 years of establishment.

• India celebrates 67th Republic Day to mark the completion of 66 years as a republic.
  
• French President Francois Hollande was chief guest at the Republic Day parade.
  
• He was the fifth French President to be India’s chief guest for Republic Day.
  
• French soldiers joined the Indian security forces on Rajpath.
• Indian Army dogs walked down the Rajpath with the soldiers after 26 years.

Motorbike Daredevils and Hercules Aircraft

The motorbike daredevils swept past as 10s of them balanced themselves on bikes to make impressive formations.

Kolkata as well had a display of motorbike daredevil stunts on the occasion of Republic Day.

In Delhi, the air display followed by bike stunts left the patriots in the audience with a sense of pride.

The children awarded for their bravery waved at the cheering crowd as they glided on Rajpath.

Ministries’ Tableaux Begin

The tableaux display of Ministries has begun as a part of the Republic Day parade. The new programmes of Swacha Bharat and Digital India made their way on the tableaux.

The tableaux display began with Goa followed by Gujarat, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Manipur, Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Assam.
