The reinstated Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Harish Rawat, urged the BJP-led Centre government and to forget the entire episode and work together in the spirit of “cooperative federalism” for the betterment of Uttarakhand.
Taking a humble approach in a press conference, Rawat requested Centre to close the chapter and move forward on the path of development.

Time to Compensate for Loss of Work, Says Rawat
Harish Rawat said that it was not the time to celebrate, it was time to put heads together and compensate for the loss of work in this two-month-period.
Rawat added that democracy has won and that he was thankful to the Congress MLAs who stood by his side despite several offers being made to them.

Harish Rawat also expressed his gratitude towards the people of Uttarakhand stating that it was not a win for Congress but win for the people of Uttarakhand.
Will Consult Colleagues Before Approaching The Governor, Says Rawat
On the issue of floor test, Rawat said they would follow the orders of the High Court and appear for floor test on 29 April. He further added that he would consult his senior colleagues and lawyers before going to the Governor’s office to stake claim to office of the Chief Minister.
Earlier on Thursday, the High Court had struck down the President’s rule imposed on the state of Uttarakhand. The High Court has also banned the 9 rebel MLAs who were rusticated by the Speaker of Uttrakhand Legislative Assembly from casting a vote in the floor test scheduled on 29 April.
The Central Government is planning to challenge the Uttarakhand High Court’s decision in the Supreme Court on Friday.
