The family of actor Pratyusha Banerjee expressed complete disbelief at the sudden demise of the young, bubbly girl they knew. The TV actor allegedly committed suicide on Friday evening.
They, however, had nothing to say about Pratyusha’s fiance Rahul Raj Singh, who is currently under the scanner for being absent at a crucial time.
Last night (Thursday) I spoke to her on the telephone at around 11-11:30 pm. I asked her when she is going to marry and she said she will earn some money and then get married. Pratyusha’s cousin Rishita Roy finds it difficult to believe that the actor could commit suicide.

Her relatives say the Balika Vadhu actor visited her hometown Jamshedpur on 31 January for a family function. They talked about getting her married, to which Pratyusha had reportedly replied that she wants to earn some more. Her parents declined to comment.
Vikram Chauhan, DCP who is handling the case said that Pratyusha’s body has been sent for post mortem. A case has been filed and investigations are on.
