Two NGOs that work for animal welfare have announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for any information provided of the man who was caught on camera killing puppies and dogs at the Green Park metro station, Hindustan Times reported.

A man allegedly critically injured three stray dogs and stabbed a puppy to death outside Green Park metro station in south Delhi. The incident happened on Tuesday morning hours but came to light on Sunday.

A PCR van received a call on March 15 about three dogs lying in a pool of blood near an exit of the metro station.

The area CCTV footage shows the accused, who was in jacket and shorts, suddenly attacking the dogs and killing them all in around 18 minutes. He stabbed the three dogs, then thrashed the puppy and left the area.

The footage was uploaded on YouTube on Sunday.

An FIR has been registered at Hauz Khas police station against the accused under IPC sections 428 and 429 and provisions of Prevention of Cruelty Against Animals Act. The accused has not been identified yet.

Residents also informed about similar cases in the area.

The CCTV grab is being analysed to check if the same accused is involved in all such cases. Search is on to nab the culprit.

Meanwhile, an NGO announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh, on Sunday, through social media, for anyone who helps in identifying the accused.
