We strongly believe that current excessive police action is totally uncalled for and it has only aggravated the situation. This sentiment makes us express strong opposition to attempt to use law and police to suppress democratic dissent and conduct witch-hunt on campus.

The case was registered on Thursday under Section of 124 A (sedition) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of IPC against unknown persons at Vasant Kunj (North) Police station following complaints by BJP MP Maheish Girri and ABVP.
