A day after the video of a youth being brutally attacked in broad daylight went viral, four persons were arrested on Tuesday by a special police team in connection with the crime.
Police said the victim was riding a motorcycle along with a friend when they were waylaid and attacked by the four people. The four accused had thrashed the 25-year-old youth with sticks. The victim later died, at Vakkom near Trivandum two days ago.
A second youth, who is the deceased victim’s friend is undergoing treatment at a hospital. The victim had reportedly made certain remarks against the father of one of the four accused which infuriated them, police added.
