Few days to go before Delhi absorbs itself into the Odd-Even Formula to curb the rise in city’s pollution and the central industrial security force (CISF) is preparing for the chaos in advance.
They have plans to add 500 additional personnel to the existing force, as passenger footfall from Jan 1 to Jan 15 are set to be diverse. As per the officials, blueprint to tackle vehicular movement in the city have been put in place which will be implemented during the aforementioned period.
The force will augment its numbers at all the important and vital stations from the view of passenger traffic. The reserves have been called out. A conservative estimate of the new numbers could be about 500 men and women more on duty during this special fortnight.

In addition to having extra manpower on the roads, there will be personnel in non-duty clothes to keep a check on people who might cause trouble with activites that are prohibited.
Quick Reaction Teams (QRT) and vehicles to transport them will also be augmented.

Over 4,500 personnel will be entrusted with manning Delhi Metro station network which connects the capital city to Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurgaon among others. The AAP-run Delhi government will be keeping their fingers crossed and hope that the Odd-Even formula works to their and city’s cause.
