There is no relief for Hardik Patel in the sedition case lodged against him by the Gujarat police. The Supreme Court says his plea will be considered after the completion of a probe. The Supreme Court has also directed the Gujarat police to not file a chargesheet in the sedition case without its permission and has posted the case for hearing on January 5.
Patel was arrested by the city crime branch on charges of sedition and waging war against the government and had filed a plea in the Gujarat High Court seeking to have the FIR against him quashed. The Gujarat police booked Hardik Patel for sedition over his “kill cops” remark, which was caught on video.
