The media is overwhelmed by the royal presence of the couple in our humble country. They’ve enthusiastically published Will-Kate’s photographs and ran tour footage while we anxiously waited for the Duchess’ next attire.

The young couple decided to hit some balls on a hot, humid day in Mumbai. It was a match between royals and the new-age Bhuvan & Co (Sachin Tendulkar and Dilip Vengsarkar), but all for a good cause and for some excellent photo-ops. It was not just a game of cricket where Kate bowled us with her stunning looks. It was also a gentle reminder to India that the game they are so proud of has its origins in the Queen’s land.

Thanks to Danny Boyle, India’s image from the land of snake-charmers and elephants has now become that of the ‘poverty-hub of the world’. Welcome to India, where the poorest people on earth live, screams Mail Online.
And why not, a VIPs India ‘to-do’ list must include some good ‘ol charity work, visiting the monument of love – the Taj Mahal, interaction with a Bollywood-A lister, and aww-catching photographs in slums. ’Cuz hey, nothing sells more than cuddling poor little Indian kids with torn clothes living in slums. Unfortunately, that’s the India goras like to see and write about.

When in India, do as the Indians do.
Yeah! If you ain’t reciting a Bollywood dialogue (remember Obama’s señorita?), or doing bhangra, then you might as well don a chef’s hat and make some dosas.
After all, we Indians love our food and our thriving food industry abroad. Jaya Bachchan’s ‘Cafe India’ in Kal Ho Naa Ho or Kangana’s spicy gol gappas in Queen added introduced some extra spice in the global kitchen, which seemed enough tadka to get William into some fancy Indian cooking.

The film industry has nurtured and guided Will-Kate through their Bharat darshan. It was the couple’s turn to appreciate the hard work of their ‘go to people’. It was a ‘jhakaas’ Sunday night when Will-Kate met and shook hands with Bollywoodwallas, who attentively and glamorously stood in a queue for their 30-seconds ‘royal-moment of glory.’
