Over the past few weeks, there have been varied reports about the much-hyped Kangana Ranaut-Hrithik Roshan legal battle. The Quint now has inside information, which is turning out to be quite an eye-opener in this ongoing ‘scandal’ of sorts.
What we know is that Hrithik Roshan has requested the Mumbai Police for a thorough investigation of the matter and has surrendered his laptop and several phones, which he has used in the last few years, to prove that he never was in a relationship with Kangana, as she has alleged.
The actor believes he is unnecessarily being dragged into an issue that he is not party to. An insider, who has seen Kangana’s emails to Hrithik says,
When Hrithik got to know that Kangana was in touch with someone pretending to be the actor via email at Karan Johar’s party, he immediately warned her that she was corresponding with an imposter, but she didn’t file a case against the imposter or try to get to the bottom of the matter. Kangana Ranaut has not given her laptop to the cops, nor has she filed a complaint against anyone. If someone is informed that they have been dealing with a person with a fake identity, won’t that person like to get to the bottom of it?
On seeing Kangana upset after the party, her sister had confronted Hrithik on his authentic email id, asking him what he had said to agitate Kangana. The actor once again reiterated that he had not been in touch with Kangana via email.

adds, “That’s when Kangana got Hrithik’s correct email address and since then
the actress has sent over one thousand emails to the actor. Hrithik Roshan has not made Kangana’s emails public but instead has requested the cops to verify the fact that though he has received emails from Kangana, he has not replied to even a single email, which the cops will verify.”
The entire case came out in the open when Kangana was asked if Hrithik had her dropped as the heroine of Aashiqui 3, and she replied, “Yes, many lame rumours are doing the rounds. Even a dumb ass can tell where these rumours are coming from. I don’t know why ex-es do silly things to get your attention. For me that chapter is over and I don’t dig graves.”
Hrithik reacted to this with a tweet and denied any relationship with her. When Hrithik’s lawyer sent a legal notice hoping that the matter could be resolved between the two parties involved, it got leaked to the media, bringing the entire episode under public scrutiny.
In a press statement on Wednesday, Kangana’s lawyers said:
The only solution is that Mr Hrithik Roshan withdraws his notice and my client shall accordingly then withdraw her reply cum counter-notice.Rizwan Sidiquee, Kangana Ranaut’s lawyer
While Hrithik is waiting for the Mumbai Police to verify the emails, the cops are waiting to get their hands on Kangana’s laptop, which holds answers to several questions. All sides considered, this issue is not likely to get resolved any time soon and will make headlines once again when the Mumbai Police eventually present their findings on the case.
