Wazir, directed by Bejoy Nambiar, is exactly how a newly divorced couple would describe marriage. It starts with flair and brilliance, only to end up as a sorry list of disappointments and broken promises.

Pre-interval, the swift camera work, taut editing and sniff of an enthralling suspense including the prospect of a well-written plot keeps us glued. But who would have guessed that we were only an interval away from a train wreck? Post-interval, Wazir dips and never quite manages to recover again.

Although just 100 minutes long, Wazir feels like it’s unnecessarily stretched. Go for it only if you must!
