A head constable on Monday attacked a woman with a brick in the posh Golf Links area of central Delhi over a minor altercation. He has since been suspended and a criminal case has been filed against him.
The victim, who was riding a two-wheeler, alleged that the constable demanded a bribe after catching her for a traffic violation. She alleged that her small child was also abused by the constable.
On behalf of myself and Delhi Police, I want to express my regret. The Head Constable has already been suspended. Apart from that, I have ordered that a criminal case be registered. We will investigate the matter.

The victim alleged that the cop accused her of violating traffic norms and began abusing her after she refused to pay bribe.
The woman is also seen picking up a brick in the video which she then hurls back to the ground.
