One look at the number of court cases piling on to Salman Khan’s plate and it’s obvious that the Dabangg star’s life is not getting any easier. After failing to attend his hearing for the 2002 hit-and-run case on April 21, he has now reportedly sought exemption from appearing in court in the Arms Act case in connection with the 1998 black buck poaching incident.
According to a report in Zee News, the actor who is shooting in Kashmir for his upcoming film Bajrangi Bhaijaan has cited health reasons for not being able to make it to the Jodhpur court on Thursday.
Reports claim that the actor is suffering from an ear infection and is in severe pain.
Arms Act Case
The Arms Act case is an offshoot of the 1998 black buck poaching case, where the actor has been accused of killing the endangered ‘chinkaras’ during the shooting of his film Hum Saath Saath Hain.
A case was registered against the actor by the forest officials under the Arms Act on October 15, 1998, as the licenses of his weapons were found to have expired. On April 17, 2015 a sessions court in Jodhpur had sought to record the statement of the actor related to the Arms Act case.
