How do you save the internet as we know it? By writing in droves to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on a controversial proposal by telecom companies to charge extra for access to some sites. As many as 1.5 lakh people have written to TRAI to enforce Net Neutrality in defiance of telecom companies, as The Economic Times reports.
Meanwhile, the Communications and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has said that the net neutrality report is to be released mid-May. It is expected to bring more clarity on the way forward.
