After Priyanka Chopra and Fatima Sana Shaikh, it was Deepika Padukone’s turn to get a slice of misogyny, with a smattering of slut-shaming, pathetically wrapped in the garb of “Indian culture”.
The actress posted two pictures from a photoshoot she did for Maxim recently, which received some disgusting moral policing online.
While there were an overwhelming number of comments on her page which were supportive and positive, there were a few that could make your skin crawl. These exhibited a conservative Indian mentality at its worst - they not only thought they could dictate what Deepika (and thereby women) should wear but also shockingly blamed what women wear for the culture of rape.
