Sanju has been breaking records since its release. In just 5 days, it has earned more than Rs 160 crore at the box office and it is all set to break a few records.
Apart from Ranbir Kapoor’s terrific performance, the credit for the success of Sanju to a large extent goes to the popularity of Sanjay Dutt, the superstar who has lived a controversial life.
Sanjay Dutt has a dedicated fan following. His fans have almost come in terms with his bad boy image which has blurred the lines between the reel and the real Sanjay Dutt.
Naam, Vaastav, Sadak, Kaante, Khal Nayak – over and over again Sanjay Dutt has played the anti-hero or bad boy on screen. And his fans have lapped it up.
So we at The Quint threw a challenge to his fans called #TheSanjuChallenge.
All his fans had to do was say few Sanjay Dutt dialogues. The whole challenge was to see how well they could mimic their favourite star.
Delhi gave the challenge their best shot with dialogues like:
