Setting off on a rally to save India’s dying rivers is a commendable cause. However, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev’s choice of wheels for such an environmentally sensitive issue does not seem a wise one at all.
Sadhguru is driving a Mercedes AMG G63 SUV, priced at Rs 2.1 crore ex-showroom, across 7,000 km covering 20 cities in 16 states in India to save the country’s rivers. His mission is to encourage people to plant trees on the sides of the rivers to help rejuvenate the water bodies. And along with him are 20 other Mahindra XUV500s.
Together, these vehicles account for 26,194 Kg of carbon dioxide being pumped into the air, which will need a whopping 8 lakh trees to be planted to handle the air pollution from this rally alone!
