Senior Supreme Court lawyer and former Law Minister Ram Jethmalani passed away at his residence in New Delhi at the age of 95, at 7:45 am on Sunday, 8 September, sources confirmed to The Quint.
Born in Sikharpur of Sindh province on 14 September 1923, Jethmalani also served as the Chairman of Bar Council of India.
Jethmalani's son Mahesh Jethmalani and other close acquaintances told news agency PTI that he was not keeping well for a few months.
PTI also quoted Mahesh as saying that Jethmalani's last rites will be performed in the evening at the Lodhi Road crematorium in the capital.
