Delhi CM Kejriwal Says COVID Situation ‘Under Control’ in Capital

Addressing the media over the rising number of cases in Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the situation in the capital is “under control” but added that there is no room for complacency.

The statement comes at a time when Delhi has been reporting more than 2,000 cases for the last four days.

According to the Union Health Ministry data, there are currently 8,46,3953 active cases across the country, while 31,07,223 patients have been discharged. The total number of cases in the country have crossed the 40 lakh mark.

Delhi Situation Under Control: Kejriwal on Rising COVID Cases

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that the COVID-19 situation in the capital is completely under control, but there is no room for complacency.

Addressing the press, Kejriwal highlighted that the case fatality rate in the capital is 1 percent which is lower that the national average and the recovery rate stands at 87 percent.

He further added that the number of COVID cases are more in Delhi because testing is more.
