Yami Gautam, who was last seen romancing Hrithik Roshan in Kaabil, is all set to start shooting for her next film. This time her co-stars are Shahid and Shraddha Kapoor. Yami Gautam, who has been roped in for the social-comedy-drama Batti Gul Meter Chalu, is extremely excited to be a part of the film.
Batti Gul Meter Chalu deals with the trials around faulty electricity bills. The movie is being co-produced by Prernaa Arora and T-Series. The actor will be playing a lawyer along side Shahid Kapoor. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, who got rave reviews for his last film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha starring Akshay Kumar. The film is slated to release on August 31, 2018.
We caught up with Yami, who told us how she loved the fact she is playing a lawyer as she was herself as a law student and she would love it if her character can inspire other girls to take up the subject. The actress even talked about her sexy photoshoot and how she needs to try and reinvent herself as an actor and that these pictures might just show a different side to her.
Talking about her relationship status, Yami didn’t shy away talking about the rumours of her and Pulkit Samrat doing the rounds. The actor even gave some much needed beauty tips.
Batti Gul Meter Chalu rolls in Uttarakhand on February 9. Shahid Kapoor will be playing a 20-something lawyer, while Shraddha will be seen as a bubbly small-town girl. The role was initially assigned to Katrina Kaif, but prior commitments forced her to back out of the film and Shraddha grabbed the role. It will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule across Haridwar, Rishikesh, Tehri, Mussoorie and Nainital and is expected to wrap up by April. Yami will join the unit in Uttarakhand in March.
