Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Digital India project on Wednesday in a mega gathering of 10,000 people in New Delhi. The project aims at connecting 2.5 lakh villages with broadband internet.

The gathering included India’s leading industrialists, including RIL chairman Mukesh Ambani, Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry, Bharti Group chief Sunil Bharti Mittal amongst others.
