Shocking video footage showing a group of gamblers thrashing a policeman on duty in Ludhiana has emerged.
The gambling lot had gathered near the Clock Tower in Ludhiana say reports. Varinder Singh, an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of traffic police got the information that these people were obstructing traffic in the area.
He reached the spot and asked them to go away. But the accused allegedly started arguing with him and offered him money. When he refused to accept the money, the accused allegedly tried to put money into his pocket. They also allegedly beat up the police officer, tore off his uniform and also made a video of the incident.
Police have registered a case against four people. The main accused has been identified as Vikas Chhabra while the other accused are yet to be identified, say reports.
