Soni Razdan who is known for her roles in Doordarshan’s hit TV series Buniyaad, films like 36 Chowringhee Lane, Saaransh and recently her film, Yours Truly has been gaining a lot of critical acclaim.
As she turns a year older on 25 October, we ask her details about birthdays are celebrated in the Bhatt household. We also asked the actor if she is happy with the kind of work she is being offered in the film industry.
Mr Mahesh Bhatt doesn’t like to celebrate his birthday. So we are not allowed to call anybody over except family on his birthday. We have to cook his favourite food which is potato fry. Shaheen is another person who pretends that she is not having a birthday and says, “I am not doing anything,” and then all her friends land up. She also talks about her older daughter Shaheen Bhatt’s debut as an author and how she, as her mother, dealt with her depression.
Razdan was recently seen in Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi playing Alia Bhatt’s mother. But she tells us how it is work with her daughter and how Alia is as a co-actor. She also opens up about spending time with Alia’s beau, Ranbir Kapoor and Neetu Singh on his birthday.
