1. Sheena Bora Case: Mikhail Questioned, CBI Searches Nine Locations

A nine-member team of the CBI has questioned Mikhail Bora in Guwahati in the Sheena Bora murder case. The CBI has also conducted searches at nine places: Three in Mumbai, two in Kolkata, two in Goa, one in Guwahati and one in Chindwara, Madhya Pradesh.

2. Choti Nirbhaya Needs Your Help: Donate, Take Care of Her Education

On October 9, 2015, Choti Nirbhaya, a four-year-old child was raped by a man who was known to her family. Her family now needs financial support to take care of her education and ensure that her future is stable.

3. BCCI-PCB Talks to be Held in Delhi After Shiv Sena Protest

The much-anticipated talks between BCCI President Shashank Manohar and his Pakistan counterpart Shahryar Khan on the proposed bilateral series have been rescheduled for tomorrow after protests by Shiv Sena activists forced the Board to cancel the meet in Mumbai today. The talks have also been shifted to Delhi, sources said.

4. Australian Forced to Write Apology Letter for Goddess Tattoo

An Australian tourist was harassed and threatened by a mob in Bengaluru for sporting a tattoo of a goddess on his shin.

Matthew Keith and his girlfriend, Emily, were confronted by a group of locals at a restaurant, who threatened to skin his leg. Keith was forced to write a letter of apology after the policemen gave them a lecture on Hindu values.

7. Sushma in Moscow: Draw up an Ambitious Modi-Putin Summit Agenda

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj began a three-day visit to Moscow today to co-chair, along with her Russian counterpart Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, the 21st meeting of the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation (IRIGC-TEC).

Knowing her track record in office and her penchant for creating opportunities where none exist, her agenda can be expected to be broader and more comprehensive than merely taking stock of developments.

8. Sir Jadeja Back to India Test Squad; Umesh Yadav Out of ODIs

The BCCI Selection Committee has named the squads for the remaining two ODIs against South Africa and also the first two Test matches of the four-game series. Ravindra Jadeja, who last played in whites for India in August 2014 has earned a comeback, based on his domestic performances of late.

The hosts trail the ODI series 2-1 after the game in Rajkot last night and the one casualty of the team’s performance so far has been Umesh Yadav.

9. Amazon Sues Over 1,000 Users for Fake Reviews on Website

E-commerce giant, Amazon, is suing more than 1,100 users for writing fake reviews on its website, reports the Times of India.

A lawsuit was filed against 1,114 alleged fake reviewers, who were tarnishing brand reputation with “false, misleading and inauthentic” reviews, according to a GeekWire report.
