5. Fantastic Four Flops With $26.2M, Loses to Mission Impossible Rogue Nation
Bad news for 20th Century Fox as director Josh Trank‘s Fantastic Four opened to a dismal $26.2 Million, collected from 3,995 theatres at the North American box office, after being rejected by critics and audiences. Apparently this is one of the lowest openings of all time for a big-budget superhero studio production. The film suffered as Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation, starring Tom Cruise gained, in its second weekend, $29.4 Million from 3,988 theatres, reaching a domestic total of $109.5 Million.
