Dilli ka kachra to saaf kiya nahi jaata hai aapse…(you can’t even clean up Delhi) what would you do if you had to take hourly decisions on how to calibrate your state police’s response to stone-pelting every day?
Every day as the CM, she deals with the Hurriyat, with the Army, the State Police, then she deals with the anger of her fellow Kashmiris. She treads on that very very thin line every day! Her every move and statement is dissected – the national press, our jingoist TV channels, sections of the Kashmiri media with their own partisan bias – NONE of them spare her. And…she takes it all on the chin EVERY DAY!
Affluent Kashmiris have long since migrated to England and elsewhere. She could have done that but she’s served Kashmir, given speeches from the top of trucks and vans, risking being shot at, every day of her life. Her sister was even kidnapped by militants but it never deterred her. When her father died she could have walked away but she did not do that.
Right now she is the face of one of the boldest political experiments in Jammu and Kashmir’s history, the most popular parties on either side of the Pir Panjal trying to run the state together. Politically, its almost suicidal, but she’s going ahead with it. It takes GUTS to do that Mr Mishra! Guts…do you have guts?
Aap to kisi RWA ke Uncle-ji ki tarah chilla liye (easy for you to yell like the uncle-ji who makes the most noise at RWA meetings) at a public event where Mehbooba Mufti was your guest where moments earlier she had got emotional after hearing her father’s voice. Yes, you were really crass, Mr Mishra!
You asked her for her take on Burhan Wani but have you forgotten that Burhan Wani was brought down by security forces under her watch. What better proof of is there of what she thinks of Burhan Wani?
Your party, AAP, held hopes for people like me who believed that common citizens could come together, fight and win elections and run an efficient government. Sadly, that ideal has been hijacked by people like you. Shame on you, Kapil Mishra! Shame on you!
