Prannoy on Being the Most Expensive PBL Player, Coach Gopi & More
The World Number 10 HS Prannoy said that he feels good about being the most expensive player in the Premier Badminton League (season 3), while speaking to The Quint in Mumbai.
Prannoy was bought by the Ahmedabad Smash Masters for Rs 62 lakh during the auctions in October. The shuttler was unbeaten in the second season, when he played for the Mumbai Rockets.
When asked about playing against his friend Kidambi Srikanth in Super Series tournaments, Prannoy said that anyone on the court is a rival.
The shuttler added that he shares a good friendship with Srikanth, but when they go on the court, they only think about winning.
While speaking about his coach Pullela Gopichand, Prannoy expressed that he is the best coach in the world. Prannoy added that Gopichand has not only has helped him in his game, but also in other aspects of life.
Prannoy notched wins against big badminton players such as Lee Chong Wei and Chen Long this season.
When asked about how did he raise his game this year, Prannoy said that the way the Indian men's singles players started this year, gave him a lot of confidence. He said that he started working hard from March and therefore by June he started winning important matches.

HS Prannoy reached his career-best 10th position in the men's singles badminton rankings in November. Can he break into the top 5 in 2018, we’ll have to wait and watch.
