Liquor mafia in Satna, Madhya Pradesh attacked police and media personnel on Sunday.
Following the abduction of a local resident named Shiv Kumar who raised his voice against the sale of ill-legal liquor in his neighbourhood, the media reached the spot to cover the incident.
The journalists were aggressively attacked with sticks, swords and stones. After being informed by the locals, the police reached the location and they too came under attack by the goons of the liquor mafia.
Journalist, Chandu Gupta is critically injured and few police personnel have suffered injuries.
Two people have been arrested, while six remain absconding. The cops have filed an FIR against the accused under section 307 of IPC.
