Long queues are simply unavoidable these days if you want to exchange the now defunct Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes from a bank or withdraw some mullah from an ATM. Unlike any other journalist, I didn’t go to an ATM with a mic and a camera. I wanted to actually exchange my old notes. But all that I could think was: "Mera number kab aayega?"
With so much time to spare, I did what any journalist would do: Try and find out what the 'aam aadmi' is going through.
