A 27-year-old woman from Pakistan has been arrested for travelling into India without a passport, visa, immigration papers or even a ticket. She managed to escape several security checks until an alert Ticket Examiner (TE) asked to see her ticket at the Jalandhar railway station. Her questioning has revealed several inconsistencies in the sequence of events that brought her to India.

Story #1
Chand told the Railway Police that she is childless and was traveling with her uncle to a shrine to pray so she could get pregnant. She says she was separated from the uncle when he got off at a station to buy water and that her passport, visa and ticket were left behind with him.

Story #2
But she contradicted herself when asked how she was able to evade security checkpoints and travel into India. Chand says that they were subjected to checking, but her uncle had a “setting” with the security forces.

Story #3
In the same vein, Chand a.k.a Fauzua told the Railway Police that her uncle works in the film industry and promised to introduce her to Shahrukh Khan and her husband’s namesake Salman Khan.

The Bajrangi Bhaijaan comparison aside, the incident has exposed a massive security loophole coming as it does just days after the Gurdaspur attack where the insurgents are suspected to be from Pakistan.

Rs 700 in Pakistani currency was confiscated from the woman who is currently under arrest. Investigations are on to ascertain exactly at what stage the embarrassing security slip-up took place considering all passengers leaving Atari are carefully vetted and their bags thoroughly scanned.
The police is also on the lookout for this uncle who may or may not exist.

As for meeting Salman or SRK...get in line lady.
