1. Yogi Visits Taj Amidst Controversy

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday, 26 October, visited the Taj Mahal, days after BJP leaders and ministers made provocative statements against the 17th century Mughal-era monument.

Accompanied by scores of security personnel, officials, and jostling crowds of supporters, he walked down the path leading to the famed monument of love, along with state Tourism Minister Rita Bahuguna Joshi.

Adityanath, the first BJP chief minister of Uttar Pradesh to visit the Taj Mahal, entered from the western gate where he swept the road with senior leaders.

Donning a mask, wearing yellow gloves, and wielding a broom, Adityanath was accompanied by around 500 BJP members, including MLAs from western Uttar Pradesh, as he swept a parking area, in an apparent bid to promote the Swachh Bharat mission.

Oh, well.

Recently, a video was leaked from within Star Plus. It shows a comic expertly mimicking the Prime Minister as part of his audition act on ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’. The contestant was lauded by the ringing of the ceremonial golden bell that lead to him being selected for the show.

Twenty-three-year-old Ritesh graduated two years ago. But, he is still without a job. He is frequently spotted mingling with boys who are three-four years his junior, outside the same tea-shop he hung out at while he was in college.
