A 43-year-old head nurse, Vinaya Kumari, had been admitted to Tulasi Multi Specialty Hospital in Guntur, after she started suffering from seizures. Doctors diagnosed that she had a tumour in her left sensory cortex, which needed to be removed.

The surgery required the doctors to keep Kumari awake, under local anaesthesia, and have her responding to their occasional instructions, and she did so by watching Baahubali 2.

She was nervous and requested us to play her favourite movie. As Kumari is a nurse, she was familiar with the operating room environment.

The footage even has her humming a hit number from the movie, "Dandalayya," during the surgery. While the surgery was a success, Kumari said she was disappointed that she could not watch the entire movie.
