A 4-year-old was allegedly raped by her 15-year-old neighbour in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. The accused, who was arrested on Thursday, 19 June, is reportedly a nephew of a local Congress leader.
The accused minor has been charged under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and has been sent to a juvenile home for 14 days.
The accused reportedly lured the girl child to his residence, and then raped her, reported ANI.
The survivor’s family alleged that they were being intimidated by the accused’s kin.

The police has assured the family of proper investigation into the matter, adding that there was “no question of compromise.”
