1. Review: ‘Karwaan’ Has All the Right Ingredients, But Is Still Bland

Karwaan has a lot of good things going for it. For starters, there is Irrfan Khan – the inimitable style with which he breathes life into a scene by simply being present in the frame. Then there is Dulquer Salmaan who makes his Bollywood debut; he sets our hearts aflutter every time he comes on screen.

Mithila Palkar is beautiful, a burst of energy and always a delight to watch. Then there is the breathtaking cinematography by Avinash Arun that paints the movie with lush green and radiant blue hues.

Despite all these elements, so essential for a great cinematic experience being present, Karwaan is devoid of soul. They simply never come together as a whole.

2. It’s Difficult to Work With Your Own Blood: Anil Kapoor on Sonam

Anil Kapoor will soon be seen in Atul Manjrekar’s Fanney Khan, which revolves around a man who gives up on his musical dreams, but wants to see his daughter’s dreams come true. Kapoor, while talking to The Quint, said that the film deals with a lot of issues that are close to his heart and a lot of people would relate to the characters’ struggles, aspirations, dreams, and even issues like body-shaming.

Kapoor even talked about how daughter Sonam Kapoor has dealt with body-shaming and how he overheard his daughter telling her mom about the criticism she faces on a daily basis. He also talked about Arjun Kapoor’s struggle with weight issues.

3. Choksi Given Citizenship After GoI Said ‘No Adverse Info’: Antigua

In a statement, Antigua has clarified that Mehul Choksi was granted the citizenship after all the necessary documents were received including a police clearance certificate stating that there “was no adverse information” against him.

“The police certificate from the Government of India, Ministry of External Affairs Regional Passport Office, Mumbai, certified that there was no adverse information against Mr. Mehul Chinubbhai Choksi which would render him ineligible for grant of travel facilities including visa for Antigua and Barbuda,” the statement read.

However, SEBI has retaliated saying that they neither received any request nor did they provide any information to the Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) of Antigua.
