What does the world’s smallest hotel room look like?
YouTuber Globik, on his visit to Hong Kong, shoots a comical video of a room on the 11th floor of Chungking Mansions, where he put up.
A shared kitchen, a narrow dining room, a bed that touches all four walls and an all-in-one toilet and shower.
What’s worse, this tiny room doesn’t even have a window.
This is really the smallest hotel room that I have stayed in but on the bright side, the view is amazing. No, there is not even a window. I guess this is what you get in Hong Kong when you don’t want to pay more than $30.Globik, YouTuber
Chungking Mansions is located in one of the busiest districts of Hong Kong, and has become famous among backpackers and budget travelers for its cheap rates.
It contains the largest number of guest houses – 1,980, – inside one building in Hong Kong, with the different rooms and floors individually owned and managed.
I knew it was a dense and chaotic place, but I didn’t expect such a tiny windowless room since my booking info mentioned a window and a double bed. I was mostly amused because I went there with the idea of getting out of my comfort zone. I would definitely recommend staying at least once in the Chungking Mansions for the experience.Globik, YouTuber
It is definitely the cheapest hotel room in Hong Kong but it is not suitable for a claustrophobic traveller.
